Air Quality Management

a. Operation and maintenance of the Continuous

    Ambient Air Monitoring Station;

b. Establishment of other air quality monitoring

    stations;

c. Development and implementation of a 

    communication plan re: air quality monitoring

    results;

d. Participation in the Anti-Smoke Belching Activities

Water Quality Management

 a. Water quality monitoring of river systems;

 b. Tapwatching in the poorest barangays;

 c. Participation to natural resource development

     program planning (i.e Chico River Devt. Plan);

 Ecological Solid Waste Management

 a. Establishment of Regional Ecology Center.

 b. Provision of technical assistance to LGUs on

     Ecological Solid Waste Management.

 Environmental Impact Assessment

 a. Establishment of Multipartite Monitoring Teams;

 b. Multi-media monitoring;

 c. Development and implementation of a feedback

     mechanism;

 Toxic Chemicals & Hazardous Waste Management

 a. Monitoring of toxic chemicals and hazardous waste

    users, suppliers, dealers, generators;

 Capable Laboratory

 a. Upgrading of existing laboratory facilities;

 b. Fencing of laboratory perimeter;

 c. Construction of a waste water treatment facility

 Enhanced Environmental Education and Information

 a. Development of teaching modules per environmental

     issue;

 b. Utilization/employment of non-traditional IEC

     strategies;

 c. Strengthening partnership with the academe 

     through NSTP, YES-O and other environment-

     related extra-curricular activities;

 d. Updating reference materials of the existing Regional

     Environmental Library;

 e. Establishment of audio-visual facility;
