Turnover
Ceremony of Tools and Equipment to Training Institutions
The
National CFC Phase-out Plan – Project Management Unit facilitated the
awarding of a training equipment grant to help educate service technicians on
how to properly handle Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as well as conduct proper
repair of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (RAC) and Mobile Air-conditioning
(MAC) equipment. The training equipment provided by the project range from recovery
and recycling machine, refrigerant identifier, vacuum meter, digital charging
scale, electronic leak detector, among others. This is to ensure environment-friendly
servicing of the RAC and MAC sector that will help preserve the ozone layer.
A
ceremony was held to formally turnover the training equipment to the Training
Education and Skills Development Authority and other accredited training institutions
nationwide. TESDA is the national agency responsible for the training and certification
of technicians in refrigeration and air-conditioning.
