Section 7 of DENR Administrative Order 2004-08, otherwise known as Revised Chemical Control Order for Ozone Depleting Substances, mandates the creation and development of a system for registration of dealers, retailers and re-sellers of ODS. To comply with this requirement, a set of activities was proposed by the Philippine Ozone Desk of EMB in order to come up with the said registration scheme. This includes the conduct of a pilot study wherein dealers, resellers and retailers will be selected from the customers of two (2) importers and subjected for the said study. At this time, forms and other documents necessary for the conduct of the pilot testing of the scheme have already been prepared and are now ready for final comments.

Meanwhile, two of the six legitimate importers of CFC have already submitted the updated list of their customers. Upon completion of the list, a selection process will be conducted to determine from this list the customers, dealers, resellers and retailers who will be participating in the pilot implementation of the registration scheme. The pilot testing/study is targeted to take place in May 2005.
