Atienza appoints Amador & Leones to lead EMB
Quezon City - Secretary Lito Atienza of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) appointed Engr. Julian D. Amador as Director and Atty. Jonas R. Leones as Assistant Director of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) through DENR Special Order No. 2007-586 dated 3 September 2007. Their appointment is effective 01 September 2007.

Engr. Amador re-assumes his post as the Director of the EMB as he has been serving in the same position since 2001 until later assigned as a Regional Executive Director. Director Amador's appointment is in view of the resignation of OIC Director Ely Anthony R. Ouano.

A forester and a lawyer, newly appointed OIC-Assistant Director, Atty. Leones, replaced Engr. Eugenia L. Lagmay who was ordered to take on again her post in EMB-National Capital Region. Atty. Leones is also the concurrent Board Secretary and Legal Counsel of Pollution Adjudication Board (PAB). He has been serving the same position in PAB since year 2006.
