The
Pollution Adjudication Board (PAB) is a quasi-judicial
body created under Section 19 of Executive Order (E.O.)
192 for the adjudication of pollution cases.
The Pollution Adjudication Board
is created under the Office of the Secretary. The Board
shall be composed of the Secretary as the Chairman, Two
(2) Undersecretaries as may be designated by the Secretary,
the Director of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB),
the Three (3) others to be designated by the Secretary
as members. The Board shall assume the powers and functions
of the Commission/ Commissioners of the National Pollution
Control Commission (NPCC) with respect to the adjudication
of pollution cases under Republic Act 3931 and Presidental
Decree 984.
The PAB is organizationally under
the supervision of the Office of the Secretary of the
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (the DENR)
with Secretariat support provided by the Environmental
Management Bureau (EMB).
Power
and function maybe delegated to the DENR Regional Officers
in accordance with rules and regulations of the Board.
