The Environmental Education and Information Division (EEID) is primarily mandated to catalyze environmental education in the country, and disseminate information on environmental and pollution matters to the DENR/EMB regional offices and the general public.

The EEID is composed of three sections namely: the Environmental Education Section; the Environmental Information Section; and, the Institutional Coordination and Documentation Section. organizational chart view organizational chart 

 
Environmental Education Section
Undertakes programs that will strategically inculcate awareness, understanding, as well as promote skills, positive attitudes, commitments, and active participation of the environment, through the integration of environmental concerns in the school system at all levels, government and private sectors.

Environmental Information Section
Documents, collates, and disseminates environmental information in the form of popular information drives, media campaigns, public functions, exhibitions.

Institutional Coordination and Documentation Section
Maintains contacts and linkages with various focal points and national/ regional/international organizations, especially the NGOs.

EMB-EEID 2008 Major Accomplishments

1.Support to Clean Air Initiatives

Facilitation of Workshop on Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for Local Air Quality Management for the AQM Training for LGUs of Metro Manila, regions 3 and 4 , held last March 13-14, 2008 at the Hotel Miramar, Roxas Blvd., Manila
Preparation of press releases that appeared on national broadsheets for the   Baga’t Hangin on Wheels last April 22, 2008 at the SM North EDSA

2. Support to Clean Water Initiatives

Supported the sponsorship of Nestle-EMB water conservation advocacy program launch during the DENR Flag Ceremony last March 24, 2008, in support to World Water Day and Philippine Water Week
Support to  Earth Day  celebration last April 22, 2008 at SM Mall of Asia and North EDSA, particularly on the EMB Director’s presentation paper on Industrial Ecowatch

3. Support to Solid Waste Management Initiatives

Support to  Earth Day celebration last April 22, 2008 at SM Mall of Asia and North EDSA, particularly on the Search for Model Barangays on Ecological Solid Waste Management and news releases on the same that appeared in the national broadsheets
