4. Provision of support to international and national environmental events and celebrations such as Earth Day (April 22), World Environment Day (June 5), Philippine Environment Month (June), National Clean Up Month (September), and National Clean Air Month (November)

5. Networking with NGOs and youth groups to facilitate the delivery of environmental education messages to local communities

6. Preparation of the State of the Environment Report

7. Secretariat work for some international environmental commitments such as the:

7.1. Agenda 21, through the Philippine Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and its sub-committees, particularly the PCSD Sub-Committee on Information and Education which EMB chairs

7.2. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, through the Inter-Agency Committee on Climate Change
